Supplements Every Woman Should Take


Women, especially those who care about preserving their health, body and brain function, should supplement with vitamins, minerals and essential amino-acids. As we get older, our bodies, hormonal changes and lifestyles put a dent in production of that which we took for granted in our youth.

And since many of you asked me what kinds of supplements I use and their purpose, here is the list of what helps me stay vital, energized and fight off those free radicals that speed up aging:

1. Multivitamin for active women ( I like Rainbow Light or Life Extensions brand for their superiority) 2. Super R- Lipoic Acid - champion antioxidant, controls inflammation, repairs collage damage & mitochondria 3. L-carnosine - cleans heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury), anti-aging, improves heart function 4. Probiotics - assist digestion & absorption of fats & carbs, fight bacterial infections, boost immunity, promote longevity (66billion CFU daily) 5. DHEA - natural hormone that decreases w/age. Enhances immunity, sharpens memory, brightens mood, promotes lean muscle mass 6. Curcumin (turmeric) - powerful anti-inflammatory agent, helps w/arthritis (I load my green smoothies with raw turmeric root) 7. Omega 3 fish oil - protects DNA from oxidation, anti-inflammatory (reverses aging), anti-cancer, treats depression, mood disorders, attention deficit 8. Vitamin D3 - decreases risks of many common cancers: colon, breast, prostate, ovarian; happy pill, critical for maintaining calcium on blood 9. So I'll use any help that's available, in natural form, plus clean eating and keeping my body in motion. Especially for being an active woman trying to keep up with my 2 year old:)
